All-show and some-go!
You don’t buy an Audi R8 5.2 if you want a super car that will slip under the radar in public. It has a commanding presence with its 24 LED daytime running lights, distinct side blades, and roaring mid-mounted engine. With this in mind, the team at XXX Performance has made the German super car even more of a show stopper with its new upgrade program.
The lime green R8 from XXX Performance is unquestionably a head turner with its newly foiled exterior and incredibly low stance. Just about the entire exterior of the super car was wrapped in a brazen lime green wrap by XXX Performance. The side blades on the lime green R8 were given a carbon foil finish along with the side mirrors to contrast the bright color. The team then painted the front grille black, cleaned up the Audi logos on the exterior, and tinted the headlights.
The other most noticeable aspect of the lime green R8 is the low stance and matching wheel and tire setup. The standard suspension was upgraded with a new H&R coilover kit and G-Ride Airride system to help get the entire chassis as low to the ground as possible. Neatly tucked into the wheel houses are 8.5 x 20 front and 11.0 x 20 rear Oxigin 14-Oxrock wheels with black painted centers that extend to the lime green lips. To achieve more grip, XXX Performance chose to install Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires in a 235/30R20 front and 295/25R20 rear setup.
The lime green R8 by XXX Performance isn’t all-show and no-go either. The 5.2-liter V-10 engine was equipped with a BMC carbon airbox, new exhaust system with Bluetooth flap control system, and an optimized ECU to create approximately 650 horsepower. Thanks to a new carbon fiber engine cover, the upgrades can be shown in style as well.
The interior of the lime green R8 may not have the same flash and dazzle as the exterior, but it has its fair share of upgrades. Both of the RS sport seats were modified and fitted with carbon-look leather and alcantara with white diamond stitching. The same combination of leather, alcantara, and white stitching is used throughout the interior from the roof liner to the dashboard. The center console and arm rests were given real carbon fiber applications to match the new leather upholstery.
All of the upgrades on the XXX Performance lime green R8 are currently available if the outlandish exterior color doesn’t tickle your fancy. Pricing on the upgrades has not been released.
