Making you want to drop that top.
Summer is unofficially here and the team at ABT Sportsline is all ready for the fun in the sun with the new Audi TT Roadster. The standard model isn’t afraid to show off its beach bod and new muscle after the ABT Sportsline upgrades inside and out. It’s begging you for a topless summer cruise.
The first and arguably most exciting part of the transformation is the new ABT Power upgrade program for the 2.0 TFSI turbocharged inline-four. ABT engineers worked their magic to make the four-pot produce 310 horsepower and 325 lb-ft. of torque – much more than its uprated TTS sibling. “And to make you even more certain of its quality, I issue a comprehensive guarantee to go with this ABT Power New Generation uprating. This guarantee is now valid in many European countries,” says CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt.
The next step in the performance aspect of the program is the chassis. Here, ABT Sportsline added on a new set of suspension springs and stabilizers for more nimble handling dynamics. When the Audi TT Roadster isn’t carving up the curves, it’s showing off its new ABT CR, DR, ER-C, or ER-F (forged) alloy wheels measuring 18-, 19-, or 20-inches in diameter with an array of finishes. These are also paired up with new 24- or 30 mm spacers that give the TT Roadster a more commanding stance on the road.
Confidence isn’t in short supply either with the ABT Sportsline Audi TT Roadster. A new body kit adds to the assertive stature of the convertible, starting with the front fascia. Here, a new front skirt add-on with spoiler lip emphasizes the angled, modern styling. Two new side mirror caps with the ABT logo show off their aftermarket nature. At the rear, a new fixed wing adds downforce to the rear axle while a new skirt insert with offset center perfectly integrates the new black chrome plated tailpipes with laser-etched ABT logos.
While it might not throw down ridiculous super car output numbers or have a serious widebody kit, the ABT Sportsline Audi TT Roadster has all the right upgrades in all the right places to make summer driving more enjoyable.
