One hellish AMG.
Mercedes-Benz and AMG might be the more refined vehicles of Germany’s “Big Three” automakers, but their V-8 engines are raw beasts that are just begging to be unleashed. The RENNtech Mercedes-AMG GT project car built for the 2015 SEMA Show is one car that unchains the furious twin-turbocharged V-8 and it sounds absolutely amazing.
The tuned and upgraded 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine not only packs more power but a valve-controlled exhaust system that delivers either a subdued or insane level of volume. Seen here with its aerodynamically-optimized SEMA suit, the RENNtech Mercedes-AMG GT has its valves in the open position to scare the living hell out of anything nearby.
After a few quick revs, the sports car turns onto the road and just lets it rip with the devilish V-8 roar that we’ve all come to love from AMG.
Turn up the volume and watch it over and over again.
