Getting ready for some twin-turbo madness.
The new Audi S6 has just started to hit the market after it was unveiled towards the end of 2011. The new S-model is offering more performance and power than the previous S6 models, which should be enough to initially satisfy most owners. But, that select group of owners that want even more performance won’t have to wait long because MTM – Motoren Technik Mayer is getting ready to unveil their new S6 (C7) tuning program.
The 4.0 TFSI twin-turbocharged V-8 engine produces 420 horsepower and 406 lb-ft. of torque in stock form but will be getting a healthy increase in power thanks to a new reprogrammed ECU. The upgrade will not affect the engine’s overall durability and has been thoroughly tested by the German company on the road and dynometer.
The next area the MTM – Motoren Technik Mayer focused on was the chassis. Here, the German tuner will be featuring their F-Cantronic air suspension module that allows for the front and rear axles to be lowered by 20- and 30-mm respectively. New lightweight forged Bitmoto wheels will be unveiled for the C7 Audi S6 and can be fitted along with 20- or 30-mm spacers for a wider stance.
For the interior, the new C7 Audi S6 will be available with a television for passenger entertainment.
Much of the performance upgrades have been developed with knowledge gained from the MTM Clubsport. The final details, power figures, and pricing will be released soon, so be sure check back for the official update!
