Supercharged super car.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG spits out all sorts of wonderful naturally-aspirated power, noise, and tire-shredding awesomeness. Its naturally-aspirated 6.2-liter V-8, hand built and signed off by an individual AMG engineer is arguably its main highlight. But, the team at McChip-DKR thought that it could bring out the full potential of the engine with their new compressor system.
The McChip-DKR team was able to develop and design two different compressor systems with varying degrees of performance to roast each of the rear tires in a cloud of smoke and rocket the SLS AMG to infinity and beyond. The featured SLS AMG MC700 package includes a newly refined engine electronics system that alters the ignition and injection mapping of the 6.2-liter V-8 and allows it to work in conjunction with the new mechanically-driven compressor system that supplies a steady stream of boost to each cylinder. The first stage system also utilizes a new Capristo cat-back exhaust system with valve control to reduce backpressure and helps achieve a whopping 680 horsepower and 568 lb-ft. of torque.
The next stage of the SLS AMG MC700 package by McChip-DKR features all of the same goodies as the first stage, along with a full Stage 4 software tune and full exhaust system with sport catalytic converters without TÜV certification to create a thunderous 706 horsepower and 585 lb-ft. of torque.
Both of the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG MC700 compressor packages are currently available from McChip-DKR. Stage 1 of the program is priced at 69,900.00 Euros while Stage 2 is set at 78,999.00 and takes approximately five to seven business days to install and test.
