Gold-wrapped AMG.
It may not be the more powerful SL 65 AMG nor is it the Black Series, but the R230-generation SL 55 AMG wrapped by Fostla and equipped with a variety of modifications is AMG gold – literally. The German car wrapping specialists took the V-8 powered AMG to a new level of customization with its latest conversion package.
The exterior appearance of the Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG was dramatically transformed by Fostla. The team started things out with a widebody kit from the Prior Design PD-Series that visually added muscle to the sports car. After the widebody was installed, the entire exterior was fitted with a custom gold wrap with a pearlescent finish to highlight the athletic lines of the SL 55 AMG. To contrast the vibrant gold wrap, the windows and headlights were given a 5-percent tint.
In terms of performance, the SL 55 AMG by Fostla was equipped with a retuned ECU that increases output to 548 horsepower for a more exciting drive. The engine also benefits from a new exhaust system that features quad tips with a powder-coated gloss black finish. The factory wheel and tire setup was removed in favor of Rotiform wheels with a powder-coated gloss black finish and body-colored foil wrap on the inner star in a 10.5 x 20 front and 12.5 x 20 rear setup with 265/30-20 and 325/25-20 performance tires for better grip. The finishing touch to ensure the upgraded fitment meshes with the exterior design is a new lowering kit for the suspension.
