Super cars are eye-catching automotive wonders that amaze us with their incredible performance, beautiful designs, and high price tags. The latest McLaren MP4-12C from Hamann Motorsport is extravagant in virtually every aspect from the aerodynamics to the forged wheels. The biggest head-turning part of this German-tuned British super car however, is its vibrant paint scheme.
The super cars that we’ve all come to love and admire wear stunning colors such as the neon green and orange of Lamborghini or the classic red of Ferrari; something like the Hamann memoR McLaren MP4-12C is usually reserved for one-off art cars like the BMW E92 M3 GT2. The spirited and energetic personality of the McLaren is displayed for all to see with the new paint scheme as it blends beautiful brushstrokes in a way that creates a sense of dynamics, power, and speed.
Beneath the layers of paint is a special Hamann memoR body kit made from lightweight carbon fiber that takes its shape from the 1995 Le Mans-winning McLaren F1 GTR. A new front apron features gaping air inlets with integrated LED daytime running light strips and a carbon fiber spoiler that’s big enough to sit on. Each front fender was given a new set of air outlets and carbon fiber mudguards, while redesigned side skirts help to channel airflow to both of the larger rear fender air inlets. Atop the roof sits a new air scoop to suck cool air into the engine as a new rear bumper and wing help to generate downforce and keep the rear axle planted at high speeds.
Hamann Motorsports also installed a new set of their “Unique Forged formula” monoblock wheels with a slick matte black finish and centerlock-look setup. A pair of 9.5 x 21 wheels with 255/30 ZR21 performance tires are worn by the front axle while the rear staggers in with wide 12.5 x 21s and 355/25 ZR21 tires.
As part of the Hamann memoR McLaren MP4-12C upgrade program, customers have the option of configuring the interior of the super car to their liking. A wide range of woods and carbon fiber are available for the trim along with numerous leather and alcantara options. Special floor mats and “memoR” stitching can be outfitted as well.
The Hamann memoR upgrade program is currently available for all McLaren MP4-12C customers starting at 95,000 Euros plus tax. Adding on options like the colorful paint scheme and interior equipment can add to that price pretty quickly but when you own a McLaren MP4-12C, who really cares?
