One of the chosen few.
Not too long ago, DMC Exotic Car Tuning was showcasing its mind-bogglingly fast and exclusive lightweight Lamborghini Aventador LP900. Well, things just got a bit more insane because as it turns out, that was just Stage 1 of the process. The new DMC Aventador LP900 SV is Stage 2 and it’s so exclusive that you can’t just go buy it – you need to apply for the chance to buy it. Only owners of the current DMC Aventador with the Molto Veloce kit can be slected to have their super car upgraded into a 900 horsepower hyper car.
“Money is not the issue for our clients”, says Thorsten Grebers, Marketing Manager at DMC Germany, “This is a kit that you can’t get by using your credit card.”
Each of the ten DMC Aventador LP900 SV models will be unique to each owner. As part of the application process, the desired color, location, and owner will be examined by the German company to ensure that each model matches the ‘10 of 10’ criteria.
“The DMC LP900 SV (10 of 10) is a celebration of DMC’s passion for Lamborghini. We love the brand, the car, the designs, and respect the work that has been done, the SV is clearly our homage that allows us to show what is actually possible when it comes to improve perfection.”
The entire exterior of the Aventador LP900 SV is dramatic, aggressive, and aerodynamically optimized. A new full carbon fiber front bumper was installed and features two Aventador J-style poles along with two Formula 1 Canards to optimize airflow and downforce. A “DMC” badge is also proudly worn at the front to help distinguish itself further from the average Aventador. Two side skirts with integrated diffusers are responsible for redirecting airflow to the rear of the super car where a large rear spoiler and full carbon fiber bumper are located. The rear bumper incorporates an innovative diffuser with three ‘GT’ fins with a center opening beneath the centrally-mounted exhaust system to prevent damage to the components as flames are violently spit out by the V-12.
That special “900” on the “LP900” designation is more than just some fancy number with the new Stage 2 SV model. It actually means that there are 900 Italian stallions ready to tear up some asphalt hiding beneath that hood. The standard overhead throttle valve per cylinder bank was ditched in place of a new setup that utilizes 12 individual throttle valves – one for each cylinder. All of the fuel pumps, lines, injectors, and modulators were upgraded along with the ECU. New wiring and an electronic load pressure system were also added to squeeze out even more power. The cherry on top is a new titanium exhaust system that weighs in at 1/10th of the original unit; a total of 3.45 kg (7.6 lbs.) compared to the standard 34kg (75 lbs).
If you’re lucky enough to be selected to have your DMC Aventador Molto Veloce transformed into the Aventador LP900 SV, you’re looking at an additional 12,500 Euros for the front bumper and another 12,500 Euros for the rear. Stage 1 (basis of Stage 2 LP900 SV) of the transformation consists of a 25,000 Euro body kit, 10,000 Euro wheel package, 10,000 Euro interior, and 5,500 Euro wheel and tire package. All of the upgrades can be performed by DMC Exotic Car Tuning dealerships around the world while customers of the engine upgrade are urged to ship their car to the company headquarters in Germany.
Stage 3 for the Aventador should be up next so stay tuned!
