Trying to fly under the radar with more power and bright orange paint.
Yes, we know. There’s nothing really stealthy about the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG (C218) by German Special Customs like the name may suggest. In stock form, the four-door coupe is an eye-catcher simply due to its sleek and gorgeous styling. After the transformation by the German company, it’s even more conspicuous as it grabs your attention.
The name might invoke images of a covert and secret aircraft, but it instead points to the body kit that was installed on the CLS 63 AMG. The Stealth body kit consists of a new front bumper bar with integrated LED daytime running lights and lower lip while a new hood with numerous outlets helps keep things cool. New side skirts with carbon fiber accents and larger front and rear fenders create a more athletic look while a new bumper with carbon fiber diffuser, trunklid spoiler, and integrated quad exhaust tips finish off the rear. The entire four-door coupe was then given a new orange paint from Lamborghini to stand out from the crowd and showcase the exposed carbon fiber bits.
But the exterior transformation wasn’t done there; German Special Customs did some fine-tuning with the chassis to complete the athletic and muscular appearance. The front axle was outfitted with new KW coilovers with adjustable dampers to lower things just a tad. The factory wheels were then replaced with a set of in-house five double-spoke wheels with a gloss finish. To ensure the larger fenders sat flush with the wheels, the Stealth CLS 63 AMG was given a pair of 9.0 x 20s up front and 10.5 x 20s at the rear with 255/30R20 and 305/25R20 Michelin tires.
The engine under the hood is no secret either. The 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 was given a healthy dose of power and sound to cause quite a ruckus on the road. The German Special Customs team installed a new pair of turbochargers, an extra water-to-air intercooler, and stainless steel exhaust system to produce an extra 225 horsepower for a total of 750 horsepower and 848 lb-ft. of torque (1,150 Nm). This helps the Stealh CLS 63 AMG reach 62 mph in only 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 218 mph.
That exclusive Lamborghini orange color scheme is carried over to the interior where it is worn by the seats, center and rear consoles, dashboard, and more. Carbon fiber trim pieces also lend a sportier feel to the CLS 63 AMG Stealth.
The folks at German Special Customs are currently offering all of the upgrades on the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG Stealth from the Stealth body kit to the engine upgrades and down to the interior. Pricing on the parts has not been released.
