The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is the “muscle car” between the BMW M3 and Audi RS 4 thanks to its straightforward approach to power and acceleration. Now the team at KTW Tuning has given the C63 AMG a little bit more muscle and presence thanks to its new upgrade package that’s showcased on an all-black C63 AMG Coupe.
Starting things off is a power update for the 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated and hand-built V-8 engine. KTW Tuning was able to install a new ECU software reflash that bumps output from the factory 451 horsepower all the way up to 525 horsepower for quicker acceleration. As part of the ECU tune, the top speed limiter that’s pegged at 155 mph from the factory is removed, allowing the driver to go as fast as the car will take them.
In terms of styling the team at KTW Tuning opted to keep things simple. The lone modification to the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG’s body work is a new black sport grille that removes the three-pointed star logo and replaces it with four clean horizontal bars for a uniform front fascia. The team then removed the factory wheels in place of new black-finished lightweight alloy wheels in an 8.5 x 20 front and 10.5 x 20 rear setup to provide a wider footprint for better grip. New 235/30 ZR20 front and 275/25 ZR20 rear sport tires were also installed to generate greater amounts of grip for better overall performance as well. The final touch is dark tint to both the front and rear pair of windows for a sinister appearance.
The KTW Tuning upgrade package for the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG ranging from the software to the wheel setup is currently available for 6,599.00 Euros.
