The Defender for daily driving.
The Land Rover Defender may not be the most practical, comfortable, or stylish SUV for daily driving duty out there, but the Chelsea Truck Company team under the A Kahn Design umbrella is looking to change that. Their latest creation is the Land Rover Defender XS 2.2 CDI in Fuji White and Matte Pearl Grey, and comes with all sorts of styling and comfort upgrades that set it apart from your standard off-road-going Defender.
The new Defender wears a Fuji White base color with all of the upgrades and new body panels including the roof, hood, grille, and bumpers sporting a darker Matte Pearl Grey paint. The Defender appears more dynamic and powerful thanks to wider front and rear fenders with integrated vents, bolt apertures, and mesh inserts. Each of the fenders house satin black 1948 Defend alloy wheels measuring 8.0 x 16 with meaty 235x85x16 tires to create that off-road stance. Staring ahead inside a new bumper with integrated lighting are a pair of xenon crosshair headlights with surrounds. The off-road look is reinforced with a new sump guard, mesh hood vents, a new front grille, rugged mud flaps, and an exhaust shield protecting the Kahn stainless steel crosshair exhaust. New side vents, wing shields, Kahn oval tailgate badge, and a Chelsea Truck Company spare wheel cover at the rear finish off the new look of the Land Rover Defender.
Although the exterior is rugged, tough, and capable, the interior of the Defender XS90 2.2 CDI is comfortable, luxurious, and designed to handle the daily commute. Special sports GTB racing seats with a folding rear set were installed in red leather with contrasting stitching and Harris Tweed inserts. The center dashboard sports a leather and alcantara finish with two-tone contrast stitching and Harris Tweed inserts while the instrument binnacle wears grey alcantara with red and silver stitching. Even the door panel inserts are oozing with comfort as they have been altered and now feature black quilted leather and grey alcantara with silver stitching. Drivers are treated to vented and machined aluminum pedals, red speedometer and tachometer gauges, billet machined leather steering wheel, and a red Churchill time clock, while tron ring lighting, tough front and rear cabin lights, and a Kahn fire extinguisher finish off the interior transformation.
The Chelsea Truck Company Land Rover Defender XS90 2.2 CDI in Fuji White and Matte Pearl Grey is currently available or customers can create their own unique Defender model.
