Gearheads gather for a pit stop in Bayswater.
In Bayswater, an area of west London, England, car aficionados and gearheads gathered for the annual Pit Stop Event. Over 3,000 people attended the event that was organized by the Bayswater Improvement District (BID) including one of our biggest fans, Craig Livermore.
A wide variety of automobiles were on display at the 2011 Pit Stop Event, ranging from a pair of Aston Martin DB9s to the famous DeLorean DMC-12 from the movie “Back to the Future” – don’t worry, speeds were kept below 88 mph. Craig was able to photograph a number of movie and television favorites such as K.I.T.T. from “Knight Rider”, Herbie from “The Love Bug”, the Austin Minis from the “Italian Job”, and the General Lee from “The Dukes of Hazzard”.
But the event wasn’t just about movie stars. Also making an appearance was an Audi R8 4.2 FSI, Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder, Ferrari 458 Italia, Ford Mustang GT500, and a pair of Aston Martin DB9s. The event also saw a 2006 Ferrari Formula One racecar on display along with a Formula One racing simulator.
The next Pit Stop event in Bayswater is scheduled for March 4th, 2012.
