Shutting down Glen Cove’s town square for a great cause.
The weather forecast calls for a sunny, 77-degree day in downtown Glen Cove, New York on September 8th, 2013. Rain or shine, the car forecast for the 5th Annual Gold Coast Concours/Bimmerstock benefitting the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation looks to be hot and sizzling.
Since 2010, I’ve covered this automotive event for MotoringExposure, and it has grown considerably in those three years. I’ve met some great people and seen some fantastic automobiles that are an incredibly rare sight on the road. This is all thanks to Joe LaPadula and Martino Auto Concepts/MAC Auto Couture of Glen Cove, who have worked with the City of Glen Cove, New York to host this great event to benefit the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation.
This year, the show will be held on Sunday, September 8th, from 11 am to 4 pm in the Village Square of Glen Cove, New York. The event has everything from supercars to super-food with music, vendors, and everything else in between. You’ll meet some great people, have a spectacular time and be benefitting a wonderful cause in the process.
This year, we will be covering the entire event and taking all of our pictures using a Nokia Lumia 1020 with its 41-megapixel camera. Be sure to follow us on twitter for live pictures during the show and check out the Nokia Lumia 1020!
If you’re in or near the New York City/Long Island area this coming weekend, I invite you to come down and enjoy the fun.
For more information on the event, visit the Gold Coast Concours facebook page, and Diabetes Research institute Foundation’s website.
