A Brick Bullet.
For years the team at A Kahn Design and their Chelsea Truck Company brand has been creating upgrade and personalization programs for the Land Rover Defender. These SUVs were made to cruise the streets, go off-road, or do both in style. However, the new 550 horsepower Huntsman Longnose 105 is something that hasn’t been done before by the British company, and is set to be one fast collector’s item that will surely make its presence known.
Based on brand new Land Rover Defender models and built by Ant-Kahn, Kahn Group’s coach building division, the new Huntsman Longnose 105 is set to be one of – if not the – fastest Land Rover Defender in the world. The purposeful SUV will utilize the rigid Land Rover chassis and give owners the ability to custom-tailor their own vehicle with a variety of materials around a proven chassis and powertrain.
What makes the new Huntsman Longnose 105 so special is the powerful 6.2-liter V-8 engine hiding beneath the hood and pounding out a whopping 550 bhp through a six-speed automatic transmission and upgraded differentials. Paris-Dakar motorsports technology is utilized throughout the SUV with items such as race-derived brakes and the optional roll cage and harness systems.
If the growl and snarl of the 6.2-liter doesn’t get your attention, the styling will. The front fascia of the Huntsman Longnose 105 boasts a toughened front bumper with integrated LED daytime running lights and crosshair headlamps staring ahead with a new grille sitting in between. A new sump guard helps to protect against damage from rocks and other terrain while blasting through off-road trails. Chelsea Tuck Company signature wide wings house the 16- or 18-inch standard wheels while bigger 20-inch rims can be had as an option. New side steps help make entering and exiting the SUV easier while vented tailpipe exit exhaust flaps and other details further distinguish the high-performance SUV.
Inside, there are more high-performance goodies along with a few luxury upgrades to make driving through rough terrain at incredible speeds a bit more comfortable. The Huntsman Longnose 105 has hand-trimmed racing seats to proved extra bolstering and support for occupants while the driver benefits from drilled aluminum pedals, custom gauges, and a sport steering wheel. As with all models by A Kahn Design, the Huntsman Longnose 105 can be outfitted with a wide array of custom-tailored materials and upgrades such as tweed inserts, tinted privacy glass, satellite navigation, luxury flooring, and premium headliner materials.
Only 49 total examples of the Huntsman Longnose 105 will be built by Ant-Kahn. The initial models will be based on the Land Rover Defender 90 while the later ones are rumored to be based on the Land Rover 105. The 550-horsepower SUV will be available for £89,950 from A Kahn Design, so hurry up and get yours!
