No big deal or anything.
The Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe is one of those classic cars that you’ll never, ever get your hands on unless you have piles of cash to throw at one in the chance that it pops up at auction. This bad boy here is the original 1964 Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe (chassis no. CSX 2300) that was owned by THE Carroll Shelby prior to being sold for $4.4 million in 2000.
But that figure is really small considering the fact that another Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe (chassis no. CSX2601) was sold in 2009 for $7.25 million, making this original one racing around Spa Francorchamps even more valuable.
The owner of the original car that Carroll Shelby owned has some very big balls to send it out onto the track at Spa, but it’s theirs to enjoy and ours to admire from afar. We’re just thankful that didn’t crash!
