Few cars exude a confidence and presence that transcends time. These rare machines serve as forefathers to the greatest cars built today and command respect. The Ferrari F40 is one of those cars, and it will always be looked at as one of the most iconic models ever made under Enzo Ferrari.
This red Ferrari F40 may have had performance that was ahead of its time, but it’s still an ageless wonder decades after it rolled off the factory line. Modifying these beautiful Prancing Horses is something that’s usually frowned upon due to it being such a rare classic. But, these HRE Classic 305 forged wheels manage to make the Ferrari F40 even better.
The twin-turbocharged masterpiece of automotive engineering saw its multi-piece factory fat-five-spoke wheels replaced with a new set of HRE Classic 305 forged wheels. While the design of the HRE 305s are similar, the spokes are thinner and don’t have the same definition as the factory wheel design, lending to a motorsport-oriented appearance.
The HRE Classic 305 forged wheels feature a lightweight three-piece modular construction with lightweight backpad pocketing that keeps rotating mass to a minimum for better overall performance. Here, the new Classic 305 wheels were installed with a clean Gloss Silver finish by Wheel Enhancement for a traditional look with a modern touch.
While the Ferrari F40 is and always will be one the greatest cars to roll out of Maranello, these HRE Classic 305s make it even better.
