Custom-tailored elegance was on full display at the Biling Land Rover Fest from Friday, July 29th, to Sunday, July 31st at the Billing Auquadome in Northampton in the form of the one-off Chelsea Truck Company Land Rover Defender 90 “London Motor Show Edition”. The vehicle was sold to a very lucky owner in Japan that paid £79,995 for the unique off-roader.
Visually, the new Chelsea Truck Company Defender “London Motor Show Edition” is distinct and classic with a clean Santorini Black exterior paint dominating the landscape. Satin Black provides a bit of contrast and is worn by the new sump guard, front and rear extended wings, and new X-Lander grille. A new front bumper with Tron lighting stares ahead while mesh hood vents sit above. Rugged confidence is exuded by the fender mesh, integrated vents, exposed bolt apertures on the wings, and the Chelsea Truck Company spare wheel cover at the rear.
Giving the Land Rover Defender 90 “London Motor Show Edition” even more confidence are the 9.0 x 20 five-spoke Mondial wheels wearing 275/55/20 tires and a Volcanic Black finish. Burnt Orange Metallic brake calipers hide behind and stand out as the wheels turn. Completing the fitment are functional hard-wearing mud flaps that seamlessly integrate the twin cross-hair exhaust pipes at the rear.
Inside, the cabin is made for royalty – literally. The same Hiedi fabric that is used Queen Elizabeth the II’s Bentley State Limousine is used in the Chelsea Truck Company Defender “London Motor Show Edition”. The front GTB and rear folding seats all feature the specially-tailored fabric for a unique touch of elegance. Even the center console, passenger dash, door panels, roof handles, front door cards, and instrument binnacle are hand trimmed. Beneath the special binnacle lies a tachometer with special “London Motor Show Edition” design just for the one-off SUV.
And that’s only part of the story inside the off-road SUV. The Land Rover Defender 90 also features a Churchill time clock, upgraded satellite navigation, and reverse camera. Drivers can enjoy a four-speed automatic transmission, power upgrade, billet and leather steering wheel, and vented and machined foot pedals as well.
This one-off Chelsea Truck Company Land Rover Defender 90 “London Motor Show Edition” will be a unique collector’s item for years to come. While this SUV is limited to just one individual model, customers can still create their own special vehicles with the help of the Chelsea Truck Company.
