The hot hatch shows its dark side.
One of the hottest hatches in the Renault lineup is the Megane RS 250. The two-door sports a number of racecar-like features and is powered by a potent 247 bhp inline-four engine. The new Black Edition Renault Megane RS tuning program from RENM Performance gives the hot hatch a more sinister attitude and the power to back it up.
Under the hood of the Renault Megane RS 250 is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder force-fed by a twin-scroll turbocharger. As part of the Black Edition, RENM has installed a new stainless steel exhaust system with a sports catalytic converter to reduce backpressure, a new sports air filter, and recalibrated ECU. Intake temperatures are reduced by a new intercooler that is four times larger than the stock unit, allowing the Megane to be pushed to its limits of performance. The result of the engine upgrades is a power output of 305.75 bhp and 317.11 lb-ft. of torque (310 PS/430 Nm).
Although Renault offers a Cup suspension with the 250 Cup, RENM Performance offers some even more appetizing chassis tweaks. The entire car sits 35 mm lower and features individually adjustable height and damper settings thanks to a new coilover suspension. New brake pads and calipers have also been installed for even better stopping power. Reducing weight at the wheel hub are new 19-inch titanium gray racelight wheels. RENM Performance can also accommodate owners that wish to take their Megane RS tuning Black Edition to the track with a range of racing seat belts, seat belt harnesses, and steering wheels.
