Just another day in paradise!
We’ve all heard of Gumball, the transcontinental rally of super cars that has grown from an underground race to a popular drive. Then there’s Torpedo Run, a road-trip across Europe that is all about having fun.
Since 2005, car enthusiasts have gathered to take part in Torpedo Run. The 2011 event will take place from September 23rd to the 25th, and have stops in Kitzbühel, Austria, Lake Wörth, Austria, and Portorož, Slovenia. Since Torpedo Run is not a race, there is full government support for the event.
The rally consists of a number of activities and events designed for maximum driving enjoyment. This years’ event will be able to experience the Red Bull Ring (A1 Ring) along with beautiful mountain passes through the Alps. The event is not limited to fast super cars either, classic automobiles, luxury cruisers, or even trucks are all welcomed to join in the rally. In the past, the Torpedo Run lineup has included a Mini Cooper S, Ferrari F430, Corvette ZR1, Hummer H2, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Porsche Carrera GT and PPI Audi R8 Razor GTR.
