The fastest street legal run up Pikes Peak.
Remember the days when you could drive your car to the track, race it, and then drive it back home? That’s exactly what Jeff Zwart did. He took a Porsche 911 GT2 RS and drove it from Porsche Motorsports North America headquarters in Southern California to Pikes Peak where he qualified it and set a new record for a street-legal car.
Jeff was able to navigate through the 12.42-mile course in just 11:07.869. Not quite the record-breaking run by Nobuhiro Tajima, but impressive nonetheless.
Check out the Porsche GT2 RS video of Jeff Zwart tackling Pikes Peak, and yes, at 1:38 that is the exhaust glowing.
