A legend takes on a classic.
The Ferrari F40 is a performance icon that held onto the title of being the world’s fastest street-legal production from 1987 to 1992. The F40 was raw; it had no traction control, no fancy F1-inspired dual-clutch transmission, and was powered by a twin-turbocharged V-8 producing 471 horsepower.
The 599 GTB Fiorano is the F40’s younger sibling; one that doesn’t like to play nicely. The two-seat GT is packed with performance and new technological goodies. To showcase the advancements in driving technology, Ferrari pitted the two cars against each other on an empty desert road.
