More fun for the Audi A4.
Ever since the refreshed version of the Audi A4 was introduced, the team at ABT Sportsline has been busy developing and designing new performance and aesthetic upgrades for both the sedan and Avant versions. After putting their skills to work, they were able to create a full line of engine tuning, aerodynamics, and chassis upgrades for the A4 models, transforming them into the dynamic ABT AS4 and AS4 Avant.
“Our new AS4 3.0 TFSI is a roadworthy medium-sized car which guarantees fun. You could steal a trailer full of horses with it – and still take the fast lane,” said Hans-Jürgen Abt, CEO of ABT Sportsline. And there’s more than a few horses behind the new AS4 with any of the gasoline or diesel variants. The four versions of the 2.0 TDI engines get a boost up to 140-, 170-, 170-, and 205 horsepower thanks to some good ‘ol fashioned ABT Power tuning, while the larger 3.0 TDI goes all the way up to 300 horsepower. The small 1.8 TFSI and 2.0 TFSI four-cylinders get turned up to 211- and 270 horsepower, respectively. For those that want real power and performance, the 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 engine with 272 horsepower, stock shoots up to 380 horsepower and 369 lb-ft. of torque with the ABT Power tune, ensuring there is something for everyone.
To handle all of those extra horses, ABT Sportsline gave the Audi AS4 and AS4 Avant a couple of suspension and chassis options. Customers can opt for a set of sport springs that lower the center of gravity for better handling or a full height-adjustable coilover suspension that retains the comfortable stock ride quality while providing better handling dynamics. In addition, ABT Sportsline offers their featured five double-spoke ER-C wheels along with CR and DR lightweight alloy wheels in 19- and 20-inch sizes with corresponding high-performance tires.
After the ABT AS4 and AS4 Avant were set up for performance, focus then shifted to styling and aerodynamic efficiency. The ABT Sportsline team designed a full body kit to give the AS4s a more aggressive look and better cooling and downforce properties. A new front spoiler, fender inserts, and side skirts visually lower the car and optimizes aerodynamics. At the rear sits a new skirt that integrates the quad tailpipes, and a rear spoiler for better downforce at the rear at high speeds.
All of the featured upgrades on the ABT AS4 and AS4 Avant are available from ABT Sportsline as individual upgrades or a complete package for both gasoline and diesel-engined variants.
