The Audi S8 flies in under the radar with its rather unobtrusive and understated design. That doesn’t mean that it’s not a car that is capable of grabbing your attention, especially from behind the wheel. The team at ABT Sportsline has developed a full upgrade program that really brings the high-performance executive German sedan to life.
What makes the Audi S8 such a joy to upgrade is the twin-turbocharged 4.0 TFSI V-8 hiding under the hood. No matter if it’s the factory 520- or 605-horsepower output, there’s still loads of potential waiting to be tapped into – which ABT Sportsline has done with their ABT Power and ABT Power S programs.
In the Audi S8 models with the factory 520-horsepower output, the ABT Power and ABT Power S upgrades create a total of 640-horsepower and 575 lb-ft. of torque, and 675-horsepower and 620 lb-ft. of torque, respectively.
The models that come packed with 605-horsepower in stock form get even more power. Those equipped with the ABT Power tune get 705 horsepower and 620 lb-ft. of torque. The more comprehensive ABT Power S gives a whopping 735-horsepower and 679 lb-ft. of torque. These upgrades also allow the German sport sedan to reach a top speed of 199 mph as well.
No matter what upgrade program is selected, Audi S8 owners can opt for the ABT muffler with quad 89-mm tailpipes. As an option, customers can also get a pre-muffler pipe.
To go along with that new power, the ABT Sportsline Audi S8 can be given a new ABT Level Control system. The entire chassis can be dropped by up to 20 mm at the front and rear for a better center of gravity going into the corners. Additionally, new ABT DR and FR wheels are available in sizes ranging from 20- to 22-inches in diameter with sticky Dunlop or Continental tires.
While the performance hardware is the name of the game with the ABT Sportsline Audi S8, there’s also a few visual goodies to make the drive even better. The exterior can be equipped with new front fender inserts while new floor mats and integrated door entrance lights can be installed for the cabin.
The new ABT Sportsline Audi S8 upgrades are currently available as a full upgrade program or as individual accessories.
