Making sure winter is gone and never coming back.
The cool breeze, the shining sun, the smell of flowers in the air; it’s spring and that means that it’s time to break the convertible out of the garage and drop that top. ABT Sportsline is already prepared for the occasion and has given the potent Audi RS 5 Cabriolet a few minor tweaks that’ll make driving in the warm weather even more enjoyable.
The 4.2-liter FSI V-8 engine and its 444 bhp provides more than enough fun, but ABT Sportsline had a little treat up their sleeve to make it even more exciting. With the top down, the entire cabin is filled with a beautiful, high-revving V-8 roar thanks to a mid- and rear muffler setup. ABT Sportsline also took away that pesky speed limiter in the the Audi RS 5 Cabriolet, and now allows it to reach a whopping 180 mph.
When you drop the top, you have to look good too, right? The Audi RS 5 Cabriolet doesn’t have any problems with that in stock form, but a little nip and tuck from ABT Sportsline didn’t really hurt, either. ABT Sportsline installed a full height-adjustable suspension that offers up a better center of gravity when slicing through those turns and a new set of ABT DR wheels with a gunmetal finish.
“With the machine-relieved well and the gunmetal coat of paint our DR alloy wheels lend the car a new look,” said CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt. The 9.5 x 20 wheels are paired up with a set of wheel spacers that also work to improve handling and give the car the perfect stance.
Finishing things up are a few ABT Sportsline exterior bits such as the featured fender inserts that add a touch of performance to the exterior.
The new ABT Sportsline upgrades for the Audi RS 5 Cabriolet are currently available as individual accessories and as a full upgrade package. Customers can also choose from the range of ABT Sportsline cast and forged wheels as well. Pricing has not been released.
