Making driving quite a bit more enjoyable.
The latest, B8-generation Volkswagen Passat is just hitting the streets and the team at ABT Sportsline is already prepared with a full tuning range for the new German. At the Geneva International Motor Show, they unveiled the whole shebang with everything from new wheels to engine tuning for the new Passat to make driving even better.
The full exterior of the Volkswagen Passat is more dynamic thanks to the full ABT Sportsline body kit. A new front spoiler and skirt add-on help to reduce lift up front and make the sedan or wagon a bit meaner. New front grille attachments help to complete the sharper image. On each side, new skirts help to visually lower the car while mirror covers add that extra touch of sport. At the rear, the Passat benefits from a new ABT Sportsline rear skirt add-on and a spoiler that has different versions for the wagon and sedan so everybody can have fun.
Below the bodywork, the new Volkswagen Passat rides on a special set of ABT FR wheels measuring 8.5 x 20 inches sporting a black-painted finish with polished inner barrel lip. The FR wheels also wear 245/35 ZR20 tires or customers can opt for the DR alloys in a 9.0 x 21 fitment with 255/30 ZR21 setup. Behind those wheels sit new ABT suspension springs that fine tune handling a bit and lower the overall ride height.
Under the hood of the ABT Sportsline Volkswagen Passat sits a tuned oil-burner. The 2.0 TDI engine was reworked with the magical ABT Power “New Generation” performance upgrade and muffler system that boosts output all the way up to 280 horsepower. “With our specially developed ABT Engine Control unit with its own software, this latest uprating provides utmost power, balance and dependability,” said CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt. “Extensive tests on our own dynamometer and on the road and comprehensive follow-up warranties attest to our product’s quality.”
The only option for the interior of the new Passat models from ABT Sportsline is a new set of floor mats to keep things nice and clean.
The new ABT Sportsline Volkswagen Passat (B8) upgrades are all currently available for the entire model range from the German company.
