Some fun stuff for the super sedan.
The mighty 4.2-liter V-8 may be starting to disappear from much of Audi’s lineup but it’s still present in two of the big boys – the RS4 and the RS5. While neither of the models was fitted with the new 4.0 TFSI engine, they still offer a thrilling driving experience with a high redline and superb V-8 exhaust note. So, the team at ABT Sportsline has made the Audi RS4 just a little bit more enjoyable to drive with a few new upgrades for the German sports sedan.
The first thing that was addressed by ABT Sportsline was the top speed limiter on the RS4. Clearly, the car was capable of vastly exceeding the 250 km/h (155 mph) limit, so the team created an update that would remove the factory limiter and allow the Audi RS4 to reach 290 km/h (180 mph). The other upgrade that makes the high-revving 4.2-liter engine just a little bit more enjoyable to drive is a stainless steel exhaust system with optional TÜV approval that is installed after the catalytic converter and helps give the 450 horsepower engine a more aggressive sound.
The Audi RS4 can also benefit from a few chassis upgrades that improve not just handling but the overall styling of the car. The factory wheels can be replaced with new DBT DR lightweight alloy wheels in a 9.0 x 20 fitment at the front and rear with a ten-spoke design and gunmetal finish. The wheels also extend to the edges of the fenders thanks to new 25 mm wheel spacers to create a wider, more athletic stance.
The final touch is a set of matching trunk and floor mats for an extra special touch of comfort.
