The Audi S3 sedan isn’t going to knock your socks off with some outrageous performance figures, and it’s still not going to after being upgraded by ABT Sportsline. But, after all the ABT upgrades, it’s one hell of a fun car that’s ready and willing to do it all from handling to straight-line speed. As ABT Sportsline CEO, Hans-Jürgen Abt commented, “Lean back, accelerate and enjoy.”
Most of that enjoyment Abt was commenting on comes from a tuned version of the already factory-tuned 2.0 TFSI turbocharged inline-four. The engine was equipped with a specially-tuned standalone control unit module that’s been optimized for the S3 on the company’s own dyno and through road testing. After the electronics have been optimized, the ABT Audi S3 churns out a healthy 370 horsepower and 339 lb-ft. of torque, which allows the sport sedan to reach 62 mph in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of about 165 mph.
But ABT Sportsline wasn’t finished there with the Audi S3 and added in a few goodies to the chassis as well. ABT Sportsline showcases a set of their 20-inch DR wheels in a 9.0 x 20 setup with 235/30 R20 tires and a gunmetal finish or optional mystic black finish on the featured S3 model. In addition, the S3 can also be equipped with a set of ABT ER-C and CR wheels in 8.5 x 18 or 8.5 x 19 setups with corresponding tires.
Sporty new upgrades are also available for the interior and exterior of the ABT Audi S3. The cabin features new floor mats and integrated entrance lighting to decorate the lower-half of the interior. As for the body, a new set of high-quality ABS plastic fender inserts make their presence known up front.
All of the new upgrades for the Audi S3 can be purchased as a package or individual accessories from ABT Sportsline. Pricing has not been released.
