Singing the 630-HP song.
The legendary GT-R has conquered those that stand in its path. Cars and tracks from around the globe have been beaten down and destroyed by the sheer acceleration and performance of the sixth-generation R35 GT-R and its twin-turbocharged V-6. It’s more of the same stuff that’s propelled it to the top of the sports car world in the 2017 model year, and Alpha-N Performance is taking advantage.
The twin-turbocharged and hand-built VR38DETT 3.8-liter V-6 engine hiding under the hood packs a significant 565 horsepower at 6,800 RPM and 467 lb-ft. of torque from 3,300 to 5,800 RPM in stock form for the 2017 model year. While that’s enough to satisfy many drivers, the more hardcore enthusiasts crave something more.
So, Alpha-N Performance developed a new EVOX Chiptuning box plug-and-play module that optimizes mapping using various parameters to generate more power and tap into the motor’s hidden potential. Armed with the new Alpha-N Performance EVOX Chiptuning box, the 2017 Nissan GT-R is capable of producing 630 horsepower and 595 lb-ft. of torque.
Mind you, that’s just with a simple plug-and-play tune; no exhaust, air intake system, or any other modifications. It just goes to show what kind of numbers are hiding in that force-fed V-6 engine if you try hard enough.
The new Alpha-N Performance EVOX Chiptuning Box is currently available at an affordable 699 euros, and can be easily installed.
