The BMW M2 was just announced and already the team at Alpha-N Performance is gearing up and previewing their new Alpha-N M2-RS performance package. The German tuners already have plans for the newest sports car from BMW and it’s geared to take home the checkered flag.
The 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six that powers the BMW M2 might have a stout 365 horsepower right from the factory, but that isn’t enough for Alpha-N Performance. The Alpha-N M2-RS will feature a full EVOX Multi-channel Chip-tuning Box along with a water-injection kit like its BMW M4 GTS sibling to produce a monstrous 480 horsepower.
With the engine putting down the power, the chassis of the Alpha-N M2-RS will be given the task of tearing up the pavement. The entire chassis is set to benefit from a new, full-adjustable coilover suspension that allows drivers to dial in the right setup for a specific track. New 9.0 x 19 front and 10.0 x 19 rear OZ Superforgiata lightweight alloys wearing 245/35 R19 and 265/35 R19 rear tires will work to achieve maximum grip through corners and under acceleration.
Visually, the Alpha-N M2-RS will be able to generate more downforce with better cooling than before. This comes thanks a planned carbon fiber front spoiler with adjustable splitter and cooling vents, front bumper elements, side sills, and a four-position adjustable rear wing. Alpha-N Performance is also developing a full carbon fiber roof to reduce the center of gravity and cut weight as well.
The team at Alpha-N Performance is also planning on an even more hardcore M2-RS Clubsport variant that tacks on lightweight racing seats as well as the option for a full- or half-roll cage setup.
The new Alpha-N Performance Alpha-N M2-RS will be available in the near future.
