Wrap, Wheels, and Wicked Powa!
It’s no secret that the new Mercedes-AMG GT R has its sights set on a certain German rival on the track and street. It’s also no secret that the new track-tuned, performance minded AMG GT R is packed with all sorts of tech, carbon fiber and power, ready and willing to lay down rubber at the touch of the throttle. The team at Alpha-N Performance decided to turn things up in the power and style department with a few new upgrades.
First off is the two choices of tuning for the hand-built, twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine. This German hammer can be outfitted with the Alpha-N EVOX Tuning kit that pushes output all the way up to 635 horsepower and 568 lb-ft. of torque. For those that are craving even more of the diabolical V-8 thunder, they can opt for Alpha-N Performance’s Stage 2 kit that pushes output to 655 horsepower and 583 lb-ft. of torque.
With the Mercedes-AMG GT R packing quite a punch, the Alpha-N Performance team shifted their focus onto styling and grip. Here, the factory wheels were swapped out for a set of OZ Racing Ultraleggera HLT alloy wheels with a bespoke copper finish that works well with the matte white foil shown on the featured car. Up front, the OZ Racing Ultraleggera HLT wheels were installed in an 8.5 x 20 setup while the rear comes in with a wider 11.0 x 20 fitment for an even wider footprint where it counts.
All of the featured upgrades on the Alpha-N Performance Mercedes-AMG GT R are currently available. The Stage 1 EVOX Tuning kit is priced at 1,799 euros while the Stage 2 kit can be had for 1,999 euros.
