Anderson brings the R8 over to the dark side.
The Audi R8 5.2 FSI is already a serious supercar with its high-revving mid-mounted V-10 and advanced Quattro all-wheel drive. Anderson Germany has transformed the supercar from Ingolstadt into a black beauty with new performance, aerodynamic, and interior accessories.
The 5.2-liter V-10 that sits behind the driver has been tuned and modified with a new batch of free-flowing accessories. Air is sucked in through a new high performance air filter, while exhaust gasses are optimized by a new Rennkats exhaust system that saves over 48 lbs. of weight and features an adjustable flap system to allow the driver to select three different volume levels. Both upgrades work together with a retuned ECU to produce 589 horsepower at 8,700 RPM, up 64 horses from the stock 525.
The Hyper Black Edition Audi R8 also wears a new carbon fiber suit. The entire exterior has been painted in a black mirror paint called “Hyper Black” to create an unmatched appearance. Both the front and the rear use new carbon fiber spoilers and diffuser to increase downforce at higher speeds. Even the mirrors are covered in carbon fiber, while all windows and rear lights are tinted black to match the Hyper Black paint. To complete the sinister look, Anderson Germany fitted new carbon-coated 19-inch wheels with an orange trim to match the Orange Racing calipers.
The interior of the Hyper Black Edition continues the carbon, black, and orange scheme. Anderson Germany has designed a new carbon interior package that replaces the handbrake, radio visor, ashtray, seat adjustment handles, door panels, and center console side panels with glossy pieces of carbon fiber. The steering wheel is also upgraded with carbon fiber and orange trim to match the bright orange inside of the gauge cluster.
The Anderson Germany Hyper Black Edition Audi R8 is currently on sale as a complete package or individual accessories. Pricing has not been announced.
