13.854 seconds.
The 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans was one of the most exciting races in recent history. Intense battles raged across all four classes with the Audi and Peugeot rivalry stealing the show.
Early on the No.3 Audi R18 TDI driven by Allan McNish collided with a 458 Italia, sending the racecar into the barrier and causing it to roll. Luckily, McNish was able to walk away, however the Audi was destroyed. Later on in the early morning hours of the race Audi suffered another setback when the No.1 made contact with a Ferrari 458 Italia, causing the car to hit the wall at a very high speed. Somehow, driver Mike Rockenfeller was able to walk away from the terrible crash.
In the final moments of the race, the remaining No.2 Audi R18 TDI was leading the No.9 Peugeot by approximately 40 seconds. However, both cars had to make one final pit stop with the Audi needed fuel and tires while the Peugeot only required fuel. The Audi was able to leave the pits with a six-second lead, and finished the race 13.854 seconds ahead of the No.9 Peugeot for the overall victory.
To celebrate their 10th overall victory in 12 races, Audi has produced a video detailing the teamwork, setbacks, and determination by the entire team.
