Time for some upgrades!
So you have the Audi A6 with one of the many gasoline or diesel engines – not the athletic S6 or high-performance RS 6. Fear not, for ABT Sportsline has power and fun tailored just for you. Whether it’s the supercharged 3.0-liter V-6, the 2.0-liter TDI or even one of the 3.0 TDI engines, ABT Sportsline can make the A6 a quick and potent German machine.
The fun starts out with the gasoline and diesel engines in the Audi A6. “A 2.0 or 3.0 TDI or even 3.0 TFSI are wholly sufficient to achieve race-car performances,” explained CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt. “At least if one invests in ABT Power New Generation.“ Thanks to the auxiliary ABT Power New Generation module and software, things get a lot more exciting.
In the 3.0 TFSI supercharged V-6 engine, the power rises up to 410 horsepower and 384 lb-ft. of torque. The 2.0 TDI inline-four might not be the most assertive engine in the Audi A6 lineup, but ABT Sportsline can pump it up to a stout 215 horsepower and healthy 325 lb-ft. of torque. Both versions of the 3.0 TDI V-6 engine can also be boosted up to 365 horsepower and 524 lb-ft. of torque as well. It might not be Audi S6 numbers, but they make for more spirited driving with a simple upgrade. As an option, each model can be outfitted with ABT Sportsline’s rear muffler with 89 mm quad tailpipes.
New goodies are also available where the power meets the road. ABT Sportsline can outfit air-suspension A6 models with a new electronic ABT Level Control that allows for the ride height to be reduced by 20 mm up front and 15 mm at the rear. Those with the traditional suspension can benefit from new springs that reduce height and provide a more dynamic ride.
ABT Sportsline also offers a choice of their FR-, ER-C, or DR- wheels in 8.5 x 19, 9.5 x 20, or 9.0 x 21 sizes with corresponding sports tires for added grip, performance, and, of course, style. Behind those wheels sit beefed up ABT sport brakes with eight-piston black-painted calipers with silver ABT logos clenching 380 x 34 mm discs.
While the aforementioned upgrades may not jump right out at observers, the ABT Sportsline aerodynamics will. New carbon fiber mirror covers add a sportier aesthetic compared to the Audi S6 and RS 6 brushed aluminum units. New fender inserts, “Black Chrome” emblems, a rear skirt set, and rear spoiler all add a more athletic touch to the German sedan.
Inside, customers can opt to install ABT floor and trunk mats, LED door entrance lights with logos, and a start/stop button with illuminated ABT logo.
The new Audi A6 upgrades from ABT Sportsline are currently available as a complete package or as individual accessories to spice up the mid-size luxury sedan.
