Audi’s small and sporty TT has made a mark in the automaker’s lineup as a quick and nimble coupe or roadster that puts a smile on the driver’s face. As the second-generation ends production in favor of the new, high-tech third generation TT, Audi is sending off the TT and TTS Coupe and Roadsters off into the 2015 model-year sunset with some new standard features and options to check off.
The 2.0 TFSI turbocharged inline-four that powers the TT and TTS models will remain the same and churn out 211 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of torque in the TT and 265 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. in the TTS. Both models come standard with the S tronic dual-clutch gearbox and quattro all-wheel drive. In this setup, the TT can sprint to 60 mph in 5.3- and 5.6-seconds in Coupe and Roadster form, respectively, while the TTS Coupe and Roadster does the same dash in 4.9- and 5.1 seconds.
The 2015 Audi TTS Coupe and Roadsters can benefit from a new Imola Yellow or Nimbus Grey exterior paint, fixed rear spoiler, five-arm-rotor wheels in silver, and Baseball Optic leather seats with Imola Yellow accents and contrasting stitching after checking the Competition Package option box. The TTS models will come standard with Audi’s magnetic ride suspension system that utilize dampers filled with a special fluid controlled by electromagnetic fields to instantly alter the viscosity for optimum handling characteristics. Finishing off the standard exterior bits on the 2015 TTS models are Audi’s adaptive headlights.
The 2015 TT Coupe and Roadster also have their share of fun goodies as well. The adaptive rear spoiler, Xenon headlights, and LED daytime running lights come standard. The optional S-Line Plus Carbon package adds on 5-arm-Dynamic wheels, black leather-covered anti-roll bar, and carbon fiber accents for even more excitement.
Inside, the 2015 TTS will come right from the factory with a flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel and 12-way power adjustable seats, while the TT models have standard front heated seats. Options abound for entertainment in both variants with the 12-speaker BOSE sound system with AudioPilot, Navigation Package, and DVD-based Audi Navigation Plus that are available.
The 2015 Audi TT and TTS Coupe and Roadster models will be the last of the second-generation Audi TT, so hurry up and grab them while you still can.
