Sporty styling with an attractive price.
The Audi TT is one of the more affordable models in the Audi lineup in terms of performance and style. While the TTS and TT-RS start to move past the $50,000 mark, Audi is offering customers of the standard TT-models the option of having a sportier look without paying an exorbitant fee with the new TT S-Line Competition.
We all know that the Germans love their options on their cars. Virtually anything can be upgraded to suit your tastes but it increases the final price of the car very quickly. Audi is making it a bit easier for customers that want those exclusive options without breaking the bank with the TT S-Line Competition Package.
The new S-Line Competition package features a number of exterior and interior options that add a sportier, unique appearance. Four different exterior colors are available at no additional charge: Samoa Orange metallic, Glacier White metallic, Daytona Grey pearl, and Misano Red pearl. The package includes new bumpers with redesigned air intakes, side skirts, tailpipe trims, a diffuser insert, and new S-Line badges. A large fixed rear spoiler similar to that found on the Audi TT-RS comes standard along with Xenon Plus headlights and LED daytime running lights.
A black styling package also comes standard on the TT S-Line Competition. The radiator grille, side mirrors, front bumper lower blade, diffuser insert, tailpipe trim, and rear spoiler are all finished in high-gloss black. The grille insert, license plate frame, and front fog light grille are all given a matte black finish in the black styling package.
While the S-Line Competition doesn’t include any engine performance upgrades, it does have a couple of chassis tweaks that improve the styling and handling of the sports car. New 19-inch five-spoke “Rotor” design wheels in a black finish come standard with 255/35 sport tires. The suspension is also 10 mm lower for a better center of gravity.
The interior also comes with all sorts of sporty goodies as part of the TT S-Line Competition. Both of the seats wear perforated alcantara with black leather and silver stitching with S-Line logos in the backrests. Cars equipped with a manual transmission benefit from shorter shifters for a more engaging drive. New door sill trims, aluminum-look trim pieces, floor mats with piping, matte brushed aluminum inlays are featured throughout the cabin. Facing the driver is a new sports steering wheel with a flat bottom for better control.
The new Audi TT S-Line Competition package is available in all markets for 4,300 Euros and $2,350 in the United States, saving roughly 50-percent over individually ordering the options.
