After the long intro, that is
The 993-generation of the Porsche 911 was the last of the classic air-cooled engines as the German automaker switched to water-cooling with the 996-generation models. The 993 911 Turbo was the epitome of air-cooled performance with its twin-turbocharged setup pounding the flat-six with generous amounts of boost pressure.
The 993 911 Turbo hillclimb special driven by Rupert Schwaiger is something out of this world. The rally team gave us a real treat by strapping on a few cameras to the racer and recording all of its runs at a 2012 event.
The engine itself (after the long, introduction), sounds amazing; like a thundering hulk of metal churning out a massive amount of power. It’s probably the best 993 911 Turbo video you’ll see all week, so enjoy it.
