Lots of new accessories for a more exciting and stylish ride.
BMW is enjoying a strong presence at the 2015 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas thanks to their range of M Performance Parts. Their featured BMW M4 with M Performance Parts has it all from new styling to a sound-controlled exhaust and even interior options for customers to enjoy starting in 2016.
Visually, the BMW M4 with M Performance Parts is more impactful and aggressive on the eyes, and draw from the brand’s racing success. New BMW M Performance aerodynamics optimize airflow and downforce starting with the front carbon fiber (CFRP) inserts and high-gloss black trim grille. New PUR M Performance side sills with ‘M Performance’ logos help with stability along each side while carbon fiber mirror caps add a sportier look. New gloss black M gill elements in the front fenders pair up nicely with the new BMW M Performance motorsport racing stripes as they run from the headlights and split towards the rear.
At the rear of the BMW M4 sits a new M Performance through-flow carbon fiber spoiler wing with ‘M Performance’ inscriptions and motorsport striping on the end plates. Below the spoiler sits a motorsport-designed M Performance carbon fiber diffuser with three-bar shape.
Performance-wise, the BMW M4 gains a few M Performance Parts goodies. Beneath the sheetmetal sits an adjustable coilover suspension that lowers the overall center of gravity and sharpens up handling. While the 3.0-liter, inline-six cylinder engine remains unchanged, it benefits from a new lightweight exhaust system utilizing stainless steel ducts with titanium silencer bearing the ‘M Performance’ inscription. Four M Performance tailpipes trimmed in carbon fiber with the M logo protrude from the new diffuser element. Customers can opt for two levels of adjustable sounds controlled by the press of a button inside of the cockpit.
Inside, the BMW M4 has a few motorsport-oriented goodies from the BMW M Performance Parts catalog. The new M Performance steering wheel Pro boasts an Alcantara Anthracite rim with clear-coated carbon fiber and ‘M Performance’ logo. At the top of the rim in the 12-o’clock position is a blue marker similar to that of the brand’s race cars.
Drivers can also benefit from the M Performance gear lever for the M dual-clutch gearbox (M DKG) as well as carbon fiber hand brake with Alcantara gaiter and door handles. Stainless steel foot pedal covers provide more grip and control for drivers, especially in high-performance situations. For the show car, the BMW M4 was also equipped with new LED door projectors to dazzle at a stop.
The new BMW M Performance Parts for the M4 will be available starting in January of 2016 with all M Performance Parts being available at certified BMW dealers in June of 2016.
