Why two snails are always better than none.
Heffner Performance has a history of developing forced-induction performance upgrades for a variety of supercars ranging from the Dodge Viper to the Lamborghini Gallardo. After giving the Audi R8 4.2 an added boost with two turbochargers, it was only a matter of time before its more powerful V-10 variant received the same treatment.
The Audi R8 5.2 boasts an impressive 525 horsepower stock. But, that wasn’t nearly enough for Heffner Performance. Engineers developed a new bolt-on twin-turbo system with two Garrett GT35R turbochargers for the V-10. After some fine tuning, Heffner Performance was able to achieve a 225 horsepower increase at 6 PSI (0.41 BAR) of boost pressure. The result was a neck breaking 725 horsepower at the wheels. In addition, the Florida-based tuner can adjust the exhaust note with a variety of mufflers.
Heffner Performance claims this is the smoothest and most refined twin-turbocharged car that they have built to date. We’ll let the gas pedal decide that one!
*The twin-turbo upgrade also comes with a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty on parts and labor for the induction system.
