If you hit a LaFerrari, you’re going to have a bad day.
The Ferrari LaFerrari is a bit late to the hybrid hypercar party. It’s McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder counterparts are already starting to be delivered to customers worldwide and the car from Maranello is still in testing. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, Ferrari just wants to iron out all of the kinks and put the best car they can build on the road.
But, one of their test cars took a hit last week as it was involved in the first reported Ferrari LaFerrari accident.
Near the city of Mantua, Italy, a Ferrari LaFerrari test car had an accident with a truck. Not much has been said as to who was at fault for the collision, but it appears as though there was some damage on the rear and driver’s-side of the hypercar.
In the only picture of the accident, the car was wearing light camouflage and may have been in the truck driver’s blind spot due to its small size. If you look past the dozens of “http://memotors.it/” watermarks, you can see what looks to be the driver of the truck with his hand on his head, thinking about how much this accident is going to cost. Either that or it’s the test driver thinking about how much it’s going to cost. Remember, this isn’t a production LaFerrari – it’s a multi-million dollar test car that’s loaded with technology.
Hopefully that’ll buff right out.
