Brabus is going all-out at the Dubai International Motor Show with a range of high-end, ultra-luxurious and powerful vehicles. For those that are looking to go from the pristine asphalt to the sands of Dubai, the Brabus Mercedes G 500 4×4² is the perfect solution.
The monster, luxury off-roader gets a big boost in power thanks to two simple upgrades from Brabus. The 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged AMG V-8 engine benefits from a new Brabus B40 – 500 PowerXtra plug-and-play control module and a stainless steel sports exhaust system with integrated valve flaps. The latter can be controlled via a button on the steering wheel which alters the volume emitted from the dual chrome pipes extending from each side of the SUV.
Both of the upgrades result in a total output of 500 horsepower at 5,600 RPM and 523 lb-ft. of torque from 2,250 and 4,250 RPM for the Brabus Mercedes G 500 4×4². That power is sent through the seven-speed gearbox that can optionally be shifter via the steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters and propel the SUV to 62 mph from rest in 6.9 seconds. Top speed is limited to 130 mph for the Brabus Mercedes G 500 4×4² to prevent damage to the off-road tires.
Visually, the Brabus Mercedes G 500 4×4² is more confident and commanding. The front fascia benefits from a great deal of Brabus upgrades such as the new panels, mirror-polished underride guard, and protection panel beneath the new radiator grille. Carbon fiber makes up the new hood with integrated scoop, grille, and headlight surrounds. A Brabus lighting concept featuring LED lights with chrome surrounds, black-tinted xenon headlights, and daytime running lights with integrated turn signals.
New underfloor lighting is integrated into each side of the SUV and illuminates beneath the vehicle at night prior to entry. Customers can also opt for power-retractable steps for easier entry and exit. At the rear, the Brabus Mercedes G 500 4×4² features a new mirror-polished underride guard and bumper.
Inside, the featured show car for the Dubai International Motor Show sports a hand-stitched leather interior made from quilted and perforated black Mastik leather with red seams and arrow-shaped patterns. Alcantara is worn by the headliner and other components while carbon fiber inlays add a high-end, sporty touch. Special illuminated stainless steel door entry sills with the Brabus logo and aluminum pedals, door pins, and other accessories round out the high-end, custom-tailored atmosphere.
The new Brabus Mercedes G 500 4×4² will be shown alongside a range of other vehicles from the German aftermarket company and be available to customers.
