It’s not always easy to find a car that strikes the perfect balance between performance and practicality. Usually, it’s one or the other and getting that car that slots in between is like striking gold. The new Carbonfiber Dynamics BMW M4R is German high-performance practicality clad in carbon fiber.
The Carbonfiber Dynamics BMW M4R has an athletic, motorsport-inspired design thanks to a range of carbon fiber parts from various brands. Up front, a new partially-painted 3DDEsign bumper offers a more aggressive touch that extends forwards with a sharper aesthetic. Above sits an MTC Design carbon fiber hood molded after the BMW M4 GTS has also been partially-painted and showcases the muscular power hiding beneath.
As air runs towards the rear of the Carbonfiber Dynamics BMW M4R, it’s met by Varis carbon fiber side skirts that reduce drag. A Varis System 1 rear diffuser and an eye-catching 3DDesign rear wing work together to create a generous amount of downforce for better overall stability. On the practical side, a new 56°NORD carbon roof box sits above it all and has been tested to 186 mph. The 405-liter box offers 300 degrees of easy access for storage for items that cannot fit in the M4R. Finishing it all up is a new Revowrap vinyl wrap in eye-catching GTS-style colors across the body.
Below the body of the Carbonfiber Dynamics BMW M4R sits a set of 6sixty forged wheels and some sticky Toyos. The 19-inch black-finished wheels wear sticky Toyo Proxes R888R semi-slick tires measuring 265/30 R19 up front and 305/30 R19 at the rear with white ‘Toyo’ lettering on the sidewall. Completing the fitment is a new Bilstein B16 EDC suspension for a lower overall ride height and more precise handling. Stopping power is provided by six-piston, 392 mm front and four-piston, 380 mm rear Mov’it brakes counteract the sheer power beneath the carbon fiber hood.
The Carbonfiber Dynamics BMW M4R packs all sorts of performance to go along with its practicality. The turbocharged inline-six was given a JB4 tune from Burger Motorsport that allows drivers to pick from various power levels by simply pressing a button. Burger Motorsport also installed a new methanol injection kit as well as Alu Chargepipes while two TheTurboEngineers TTE 6XX turbochargers feed the engine with 2.3 BAR. An Eventuri Carbon/Kevlar intake sucks in a greater volume of air while an Akrapovic downpipe gets exhaust out with ease.
After all the upgrades were installed and the software was tuned to make it all work together, the Carbonfiber Dynamics BMW M4R churns out an impressive 700 horsepower and 634 lb-ft. of torque, and sends it all through a Dodson Motorsport clutch. That’s good for a 5.9-second 62- to 124 mph acceleration time (without roof box).
The Carbonfiber Dynamics BMW M4R can bring some incredible performance to those looking for some practicality and will be showing it off at the Essen Motor Show in Hall 2, Booth E116 from November 25th to December 4th.
