ABT Sportsline celebrates their prestigious history with a rare super car.
The first automobile was invented in 1886, and it was just ten years later when ABT Sportsline began to have an impact. To celebrate the brand’s 120th anniversary, they brought a limited-edition model to the 2016 Geneva International Motor Show to showcase their capabilities. The new ABT Sportsline RS6 “1 of 12” is everything you’d want and expect from the brand with all the convenience and luxury.
The Avant version of the already potent Audi RS6 was the subject of choice for the limited run of 12 ABT Sportsline models. The team gave the 4.0 TFSI twin-turbocharged V-8 under the hood the ABT Power S upgrade package with ABT Engine Control that adjusts the factory software for better performance. After the upgrade, the ABT RS6 “1 of 12” packs 735 horsepower and 678 lb-ft. of torque, allowing for a top speed of 198 mph.
Power is dealt to a new set of ABT FR five double-spoke wheels measuring 10.0 x 22 at the front and rear, shod in 295/25 R22 Dunlop high-performance tires. Those are also paired up with new ABT spacers that lend the ABT Audi RS6 “1 of 12” a wider, more muscular stance.
On the aerodynamic side of things, the ABT Audi RS6 “1 of 12” has some very distinct visuals. New carbon fiber ABT air inlets and front flics provide a wider look while new fender inserts and carbon fiber mirror covers emphasize the car’s athletic nature. Side skirts in carbon fiber run towards the rear where a new rear skirt set in carbon fiber with muffler or optional rear skirt add-ons are located. A special “1/12” logo proudly sits atop the rear spoiler to further distinguish the limited-edition model.
The limited-edition upgrades also continue to the interior of the ABT Audi RS6 “1 of 12”. Special “120 years” embroidered floor mats and entrance lights are featured along with a “1/12” plaque positioned on the dashboard. Alcantara is worn by the headliner, tailgate, pillars, dashboard and seats in combination with soft leather. Finishing it off is a new trunk mat and start-stop cap.
