The Chelsea Truck Company is again leaving their mark on the Land Rover Defender, this time transforming it into the Defender XS10. The seven-passenger Land Rover Defender 2.2 TDCI XS110 was given a wealth of rugged and luxurious amenities that set it apart from your average off-roader.
To start things off, the entire exterior is more rugged and exclusive than ever before while keeping the SUV’s off-road capabilities. The front fascia has been dramatically altered with a new grille with embossed Kahn lettering, a new bumper with integrated lighting, xenon cross-hair headlights, bumper sump guard, and mesh hood vents to help cool the engine. Special fender badges, a Kahn prototype tailgate logo, and the Chelsea Truck Company spare wheel cover proudly flaunt its British roots. A set of powerful 1983 RS Defend wheels in a 8.0 x 18 fitment with meaty 265x65x18 tires, liquid red painted brake calipers, exhaust shields for the cross-hair exhaust system, and hard-wearing mud flaps lend a tough look to the SUV.
While dark-tinted privacy glass leaves onlookers guessing what hides inside, occupants are treated to a wealth of custom-tailored luxury. The front seats have been replaced with a pair of GTB sport units with quilted and perforated leather while the middle and rear-folding seats wear also wear a mix of quilted and perforated leather. Both the center glove box and center dashboard were given a soft mix of black leather and grey alcantara with red and silver stitching while the instrument binnacle covering the red tachometer wears a coat of alcantara. The driver benefits from a Kahn single-spoke leather steering wheel, vented machined aluminum foot pedals, center dashboard surround in piano black, and a red Churchill time clock fascia. As an added touch, a Kahn fire extinguisher and tough floor mats complete the transformation to the Chelsea Defender XS10.
Just like all creations from the Chelsea Truck Company, the new Land Rover Defender XS10 can be custom-tailored to anyone’s wishes both inside and out, and accommodate even the wildest of dreams.
