The off-road, bulletproof, luxury SUV.
The Jeep Wrangler is one of the most iconic off-road cars ever built. The Jeep name is synonymous with dirt, gravel, mud, and every other harsh terrain. But that doesn’t mean that it can’t have any luxuries. The Chelsea Truck Company, under the Kahn Expedition Vehicles umbrella, gave the American SUV just that –and more.
The Jeep Wrangler is a favorite of Afzal Kahn, founder of A Kahn Design, which made this Copper Jeep Military Edition ever so special for the British businessman and automotive enthusiast. The Jeep Wrangler Military Edition is still every bit as capable off-road as the stock model, but has all sorts of comfortable goodies, styling upgrades, and even optional bulletproof glass for protection.
The transformation begins with a new industrial mesh grille inside the seven characteristic bars at the front of the SUV. Each round headlight was given a special crosshair design that is also featured on the special cross-hair stainless steel exhaust system at the rear of the Copper Jeep Wrangler Military Edition. New Kahn wing shields are worn on each side of the luxury off-roader along with a special enamel tailgate logo, and a rear wheel cover with the Chelsea Truck Company logo. A smoked fuel filter cap helps contrast the Copper exterior paint and can be combined with tinted privacy glass. Customers also have the option of bulletproof LED lights and rear window sections, and can also upgrade to an advanced type of glass that is more protective than that used to keep government officials out of harm’s way.
The finishing touch on the exterior is the new wheel and tire setup. For the Military Edition, the team installed a set of Kahn RS wheels in a 9 x 20 setup with a smoked black finish and the original Jeep center caps. Behind each wheel sits a caliper painted to match the copper-colored exterior and a mud flap for off-road use.
Even though the Jeep Wrangler is considered a more rugged model without the creature comforts of luxury SUVs doesn’t meant that it can’t have a plush interior. On the featured Copper Jeep Wrangler, the design team fitted quilted black leather with copper stitching to the front and rear seats. The center console and numerous other trim pieces were removed and replaced with new copper units to match the exterior color scheme and sit alongside machined aluminum foot pedals and door entry sills.
The new Copper Jeep Wrangler Military Edition is currently available from the Chelsea Truck Company in diesel or gasoline versions with right- or left-hand drive. The featured SUV is priced at for £41, 875 with the options shown.
