There were quite a few McLaren MP4-12C upgrade programs that were unveiled prior to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and all have promised better looks, faster performance, and an exclusive ride. But with the new McLaren MP4-12C Velocita by DMC Exotic Car Tuning, things aren’t about being the first, it’s about being the best of its kind.
The new DMC Velocita upgrade package for the McLaren MP4-12C coupe model is made from the highest quality materials and promises a rewarding and exclusive drive. The super car’s factory aerodynamic properties were taken a step further with the new program and help to improve cooling and downforce for even better performance.
Instead of the smiling face on the McLaren MP4-12C, DMC Exotic Car Tuning gave that mouth a little more bite with some new, aggressive styling. A new carbon fiber front grille and splitter help to create more downforce and improve airflow. A set of carbon fiber side skirts visually lower the car and redirect airflow around the rear wheels as it meets a carbon fiber rear diffuser with two new fins that form an aerodynamicslly-optimized channel. Atop the rear bumper sits a large carbon fiber spoiler wing that generates a hefty amount of downforce to keep that rear axle planted.
The new McLaren MP4-12C Velocita also includes a set of four lightweight forged wheels designed to add a touch of style and reduce weight at the wheel hub for better overall performance. The new Diamond forged alloys from the DMC Gold Line are fitted in a wide 9.5 x 21 front and 12.5 x 21 rear setup and paired up with 255/30 ZR21 and 355/25 ZR21 performance tires.
The mid-mounted, twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V-8 lets out a violet scream that is sure to be illegal in quite a few countries. But, when you drive a McLaren MP4-12C, who cares? The entire factory exhaust system was replaced by a lightweight and free-flowing titanium system that unleashes the vocal cords of the V-8.
The final touch is a custom-tailored and refined interior comprised of the finest Italian leather, alcantara, carbon fiber or wood in a variety of colors.
The new DMC Exotic Car Tuning McLaren MP4-12C Velocita upgrade package is currently available around the world including the United States. The carbon fiber body kit is priced at $24,995, the wheel package for $12,995, the interior upgrade for $16,495, and the titanium exhaust for $5,495. Customers can also order the entire Velocita upgrade package for $ 59,980 (ex VAT).
