The German aftermarket specialists at DMC Exotic Car Tuning has just celebrated its 5th anniversary in the Hong Kong market. To go along with the exclusive customer party, the company unveiled a new limited-edition DMC G88 Mercedes-Benz G-Class (5 of 5).
While DMC was made famous for its Lamborghini tuning programs, it’s expanded into other high-end marques, and created a program for the Mercedes-Benz G500/G65 AMG last year. The latest DMC G88 5 of 5 limited edition takes that to the extreme and is custom-tailored to each individual.
Visually, each DMC G88 is given a unique color hand-picked by the customer, with no two cars wearing the same pigment. A dry carbon fiber hood sheds weight and incorporates vents to keep the engine bay cool. The hood is one of the main styling aspects of the SUV, while carbon fiber also makes up the rear roof spoiler and aero wing, and spare tire box with DMC logo. Owners of the Mercedes-Benz G500 models without a wider body can opt for the DMC extended fenders for a more powerful look.
Beneath those beefy fenders sit a range of three-piece or monoblock DMC forged alloy wheels from 23- to 25 inches in diameter with Pirelli P Zero tires. The featured DMC G88 sports a set of 24-inch forged wheels with a unique turbine-style design dressed in a matte black finish.
The same expertise that DMC Exotic Car Tuning has gained over the years with high-end exotics translated to a wall of power with the DMC G88. The 5.5-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 found in the G500 gained new pistons, connecting rods, bearings, crankshaft, turbochargers, and virtually any other kind of hardware along with a full software tune to create a total of 700 horsepower – nearly double the factory output.
As part of the exclusive DMC G88 limited edition program, customers can create their own luxury interior. Everything from carbon fiber to fine leather form Ostrich and Stingray can be installed with a wide range of stitching designs and patterns.
The featured model is a 1992 Mercedes-Benz G-Class that was imported by a Japanese owner and clad in a mix of black and yellow leather and alcantara that carries over to the exterior.
In addition, DMC Exotic Car Tuning Limited also brought out YouTube car star Shmee150 to film the new DMC G88.
Only five of the DMC G88 will be produced, each in their own unique color.
