First-gen upgrades that will knock your socks off.
Even though the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is currently available, it will be over a year before you actually get to floor the throttle on your car because it is sold out. Many of the prospective buyers are owners of the first-generation Lamborghini Murciélago and are now forced to wait for the new Italian super car. For those that want instant gratification, DMC Exotic Car Tuning has unveiled their new DMC LP700 M-GT performance and styling refresh program that adds quite a bit of excitement to the first-generation Murciélago.
The first-generation Lamborghini Murciélago may be outdated in almost every aspect compared to the new Aventador, but that doesn’t mean it still can’t be an exciting Italian exotic, especially after DMC Exotic Car Tuning works their magic.
The new DMC LP700 M-GT wears new, more imposing body work that rivals that of the more performance-oriented Murciélago variants. The front bumper was replaced with a new, lightweight autoclave carbon fiber bumper that enhances the Italian wedge-shaped design and offers better overall aerodynamic properties. A new, sculpted carbon fiber rear bumper with integrated diffuser and exhaust generates downforce along with the large carbon fiber spoiler. For Murciélagos that don’t come standard with the rear glass window over the engine, DMC can install an aftermarket window to view their upgraded V-12 engine.
One of the most dramatic and exciting aspects of the new DMC LP700 M-GT is the upgraded V-12 engine. Customers can opt for the standard stainless steel rear end pipe or more powerful sport metallic catalytic converter to reduce backpressure and improve sound. But this is more than just a simple upgrade, the 6.2-liter V-12 is removed from the Murciélago and completely revamped. DMC will rebuild the engine with single intake throttle plates for each cylinder, new fuel pumps, lines, pressure modulators, and injectors, a retuned ECU, upgraded camshafts, new wires, and electronic load pressure system. After the new upgrades, the rebuilt engine is given a new “LP700” badge.
The DMC LP700 also wears a completely new interior. The entire cockpit can be transformed with custom-tailored leather and carbon fiber trim pieces with a new motorsports theme to make for a thrilling driving experience.
The new DMC LP700 M-GT is currently available to all first-generation Lamborghini Murciélago models with the 6.2-liter V-12 engine. Customers will have the ability to customize many exterior, interior, and performance options on the Italian super car. Pricing has not been released.
