DMC Exotic Car Tuning’s main area of expertise in the luxury and supercar world is with Italian cars. Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Maserati have all seen their cars transformed by DMC as the company lives up to its mission statement “To make good things better.” That doesn’t mean that other exotics are neglected, and this DMC McLaren MP4-12C Velocita Wind Edition is just one example.
The brilliant white and carbon fiber-clad supercar was spotted in Cannes, France sporting the lightweight DMC MP4-12C Velocita Wind Edition. With this upgrade program, keeping weight to a minimum while adding to the overall performance of the supercar was the main goal. The body kit is made from carbon fiber, while the exhaust barely tips the scales thanks to its titanium construction.
Up front, the new McLaren MP4-12C Velocita Wind Edition sports a new lip, center sword, and F1-style canards that take care of the downforce and cooling functions at the front axle. As air moves towards the rear it is met by a new pair of side skirts as well as a new roof-mounted air scoop that redirects air towards the new rear wing.
The rear fascia features a new diffuser with two additional fins to form a revised tunnel. The base of the rear spoiler gains a new lightweight base and atop sits a massive win that works with the air scoop to generate downforce and capture air for better braking and handling dynamics.
The twin-turbocharged, 3.8-liter V-8 engine sitting behind the driver also gained a few ponies. The factory 595 horsepower and 442 lb-ft. of torque output grew to 660 horsepower and 502 lb-ft. thanks to the addition of a full titanium exhaust and some engine tuning.
Inside, the owner of the pictured DMC McLaren MP4-12C Velocita Wind Edition opted for a red leather interior. DMC can create a custom-tailored cabin with carbon fiber, wood, leather, alcantara and other materials.
All of the upgrades featured on the pictured McLaren MP4-12C Velocita Wind Edition are currently available as a complete package or as individual accessories. Pricing has not been released by DMC.
