Adding even more style to the carbon fiber supercar.
DMC Exotic Car Tuning has had quite a bit of fun with the McLaren MP4-12C. Their recently unveiled MP4-12C Velocita SE has spread its carbon fiber wings across the globe and now it’s getting a new pair of shoes thanks to PUR Wheels. The Canadian wheel company teamed up with zee Germans to create an incredibly fast supercar with a striking stance and style.
The McLaren MP4-12C underwent a considerable transformation before it was fitted with new PUR Wheels. The DMC Velocita SE carbon fiber body kit was designed with aerodynamics in mind and helped put the supercar on a diet. The front fascia gets rid of its smiling face with an imposing new bumper featuring a carbon fiber grille and splitter to reduce lift. A pair of lightweight side skirts help calm the airflow between the front and rear wheels, cutting down on drag. The rear is kept planted on the asphalt thanks to a diffuser with two additional fins, and a large wing.
In terms of performance, the DMC MP4-12C Velocita SE and its 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine gained a bit of boost from the German tuner. The company installed a full lightweight titanium exhaust that is so loud, that it is illegal in most countries. An ECU software tune also helps boost output all the way up to 660 horsepower and 502 lb-ft. of torque, up from the stock 592 horsepower and 442 lb-ft.
The final touch, and the center of attention of the DMC MP4-12C Velocita SE, is the new set of PUR Wheels. The new PUR Ten alloy wheels with Anthracite finish were installed in a 19-inch front and 20-inch rear staggered setup to emphasize the rear-wheel drive setup of the supercar.
The DMC MP4-12C Velocita SE can also be outfitted with a custom-tailored interior with an array of leathers, alcantara, wood, carbon fiber, and other materials to create a unique atmosphere.
DMC Exotic Car Tuning is currently offering its McLaren MP4-12C Velocita SE at dealers around the globe. Pricing for the body kit, engine tuning, exhaust, and PUR Wheels have not been released.
