Ready to race with yellow and carbon fiber.
The E64-generation BMW M6 Cabriolet is beginning to show its age after the new F12/13 M6 roared into Munich with its twin-turbocharged V-8 engine packing more heat than the high-revving V-10 it replaced. One customer wanted a fresh, new look for his E64 M6 Cabriolet, so he brought it to the wrapping specialists at Fostla for some fun.
The team at Fostla was able to give the BMW M6 a new, attention-grabbing look thanks to a new wrap and lots of carbon fiber goodies. The sports car was covered in a matte PWF Yellow Bruxsafol wrap on every part of the body except the hood, front spoiler lip, and side mirrors. These parts instead wear a contrasting Monza carbon finish that hints at the athletic nature of the sports car. The BMW M6 Cabriolet was also given a 5-percent tint on its windows, headlights, taillights, and side indicators to match the exposed carbon fiber parts.
After getting a new yellow and carbon fiber suit, Fostla then added some go-fast goodies from PP-Performance. The S85 5.0-liter V-10 engine was given a Stage 1 tuning package from the German tuner that includes an optimized ECU and Eisenmann Race exhaust with four 120 x 77 mm tailpipes with engraved logos that help boost output to 537 horsepower and 402 lb-ft. of torque. This allows the BMW M6 to reach 62 mph in just 4.3 seconds and a 186 mph top speed. As an option, the 1,299-Euro Stage 1 package can be given a 12-month warranty with MOT certificate for 249 Euros.
The team at Fostla wasn’t finished after the boost in power. The entire chassis was upgraded with a new set of H&R lowering springs over the factory M6 shocks with EDC to lower the ride height by 25 mm for a better center of gravity. The reduction in ride height also allows the new Breyton Race GTR wheels in a 9.0 x 22 ET30 front and 11.5 x 22 ET30 rear setup with 22 mm SCC spacers to fit flush within the fenders.
Fostla can install any of the aforementioned upgrades featured on the E64 BMW M6 Cabriolet as an entire package or individual accessories to give any vehicle a fresh, new look and feel.
